Valley Children’s Recognized for Driving Change through Digital Transformation that Contributes to Improved Patient Care

Valley Children’s has been nationally recognized for effectively using information management to improve patient care in the communities it serves. The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) released their 2023 Digital Health Most Wired Survey results and gave Valley Children’s a level nine achievement for Acute and Ambulatory services.

“This CHIME Most Wired level nine recognition shows the commitment that our IT division has made to improve our patient’s health through technology,” said Joe Egan, Valley Children’s vice president and chief information officer. “This is a team effort between our operational and technology partners. Together, we can become the best children’s healthcare provider in the nation.”

The survey assessed the adoption, integration and impact of technologies in healthcare organizations at all stages of development, from early development to industry leading. Among the more than 55,000 facilities represented, Valley Children’s Healthcare ranked above peers in categories like analytics and data management, infrastructure and patient engagement.

“We are proud to recognize Valley Children’s exceptional dedication to digital health excellence,” said Russell P. Branzell, CHIME president and CEO. “Your pioneering performance in the industry not only inspires other organizations by example, but also provides patients around the world with better care.”

The Digital Health Most Wired recognition program reflects the progress of leading healthcare providers as they reinvent healthcare for a new century. This remarkable achievement stretches far beyond information technology and reflects an entire organization’s commitment to improve healthcare through the advancement of digital health strategies.

This 2023 Most Wired achievement will be the fourth for Valley Children’s. Our organization received a level seven achievement in 2017 and 2021 and a level eight in 2022, confirming our commitment to enhance the healthcare experience for our patients.
