Board certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology, Dr. Rob Raines-Hepple joined Valley Children’s as a diagnostic radiologist in July 2012. His expertise is in general pediatric radiology, magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasound with special interest in cardiac and fetal imaging.
A graduate of Princeton University, Dr. Raines-Hepple received his medical degree at the University of California, Davis, where he was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society. He completed his internship in internal medicine at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle and residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Washington in Seattle. He spent a year as an ACGME fellow in pediatric radiology at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Raines-Hepple is a member of several professional societies, including the American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, Society of Pediatric Radiology, and North American Society for Cardiovascular Imaging.
Dr. Raines-Hepple’s experience prior to medicine includes being a senior research associate in climate change mitigation at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and working for Schlumberger in Saudi Arabia as a senior field engineer.
He and his wife and children enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors in the Sierras, California coast and Bay Area.
