Board certified in pediatric hematology/oncology and pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Vonda Crouse joined Valley Children’s in 1987. With over 30 years’ clinical experience in pediatric oncology, she has treated more than 3,000 children diagnosed with cancer.
Dr. Crouse has participated in Children’s Oncology Group (COG) since 1980 and serves as our COG principal investigator. She established the Central Valley’s first pediatric oncology program, evolving into the program today.
Dr. Crouse is a member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Society of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. She has published her work in professional journals, including Pediatrics and the American Journal of Epidemiology.
Prior to joining Valley Children’s, Dr. Crouse was a pediatric oncologist at The Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado, and assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Colorado Health Sciences.
A graduate of the University of Southern California, Dr. Crouse completed her pediatric internship and residency at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles where she served as chief resident. She also did her fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
