Board certified in neonatal-perinatal medicine, neonatologist Dr. Vikash Agrawal has experience caring for newborn patients in Level IV NICUs, the highest level of care for newborns with congenital or acquired conditions.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Agrawal practiced in Murrieta, California, where he served as the vice chairman of pediatrics and director of the neonatal resuscitation program at Loma Linda Hospital and Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, respectively.
After earning his medical degree from Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College in Indore, India, Dr. Agrawal completed his pediatric residency training at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He then went on to complete a three-year fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Buffalo, New York.
In addition to his clinical training and expertise, Dr. Agrawal has a robust research portfolio. His areas of research interest include neonatal resuscitation, quality improvement, neonatal hemodynamics and functional echocardiograms in neonates, and point of care ultrasounds in neonates. He has presented his research at symposia and conferences, and has published in peer-reviewed journals, including Children. Additionally, Dr. Agrawal has worked as a peer reviewer for various industry journals and academic societies.
