About

In 2022, Dr. Lynsa Nguyen joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group as a maternal-fetal medicine specialist at the Maternal Fetal Medicine Center.

She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and Spanish at Vanderbilt University. During medical school, she assisted in providing prenatal care at a public clinic in Nicaragua, in addition to investigating the rates of obstetric complications at the clinic due to limited resources and differences in routine prenatal care.

Dr. Nguyen went on to complete a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at University of California San Francisco-Fresno. Following her residency, she completed a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. During her fellowship training, she was the recipient of the SMFM Foundation’s Teaching Fellowship, where she spent two months in Kijabe, Kenya implementing an obstetric ultrasound curriculum with the goal of establishing a sustainable form of obstetric ultrasound education.

Additionally, during her fellowship, Dr. Nguyen served as a clinical instructor and research mentor for residents at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Tennessee. She also helped develop and execute simulations through the resident simulation program. Dr. Nguyen is an active member of a variety of national and local professional organizations, including the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine, and the Fresno Madera Medical Society.
