Dr. Dave Swaby joined Valley Children's as a hospitalist in 2018.
Before coming to Valley Children’s, Dr. Swaby worked in New York as a clinical assistant instructor at SUNY Upstate Medical University and as a pediatric intern at Richmond University Medical Center. Dr. Swaby has also previously worked as the officer in charge at the Blanchfield Army Community Hospital for the United States Army Reserves in Kentucky.
Dr. Swaby is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a provider of pediatric advanced life support, neonatal resuscitation, advance cardiac life support and basic life support. With extensive medical experience with trauma in combat, Dr. Swaby has shared his expertise through presentations and symposiums in South Korea and the United States. He has also been the recipient of the Army Achievement Medal and the Army Commendation Medal.
Dr. Swaby earned his medical degree and graduated magna cum laude from American University School of Medicine in Antigua in 2014.
