Dr. Daniel Gaines joined the orthopaedic team at Valley Children’s in 2023.
After earning his medical degree from the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine at Lincoln Memorial University, Dr. Gaines went on to complete a master’s in business administration. He then completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at OhioHealth Doctors Hospital through Ohio University, where he was honored as the John Kean Resident of the Year before going on to complete a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedic surgery at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Gaines has specialized training in fracture management, which is reflected throughout his research, including various abstracts, posters, presentations and peer-reviewed articles published in the Journal of Case Report, Journal of Current Orthopedic Practice and The Knee, just to name a few. An active member in his professional community, Dr. Gaines is also a member of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America, Ohio State Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association (AOA), American Osteopathic Association of America (AOAO) and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS).
