Dr. Dana Shprung is a pediatric neurologist specializing in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology. She joined Valley Children’s Neuroscience Center in 2024.

Active in professional circles, Dr. Shprung is a member of the American Epilepsy Society, Child Neurology Society and the American Academy of Neurology. Her research interests are highlighted through her work on neuro-inflammation in epilepsy and psychiatric co-morbidities, with publications in notable journals such as Neurotherapeutics and PLoS ONE.

Dr. Shprung earned her medical degree from The Sckler School of Medicine New York State American Program of Tel Aviv University, and holds dual bachelor's degrees in integrative biology as well as dance and performance studies from the University of California, Berkeley. She completed a pediatric epilepsy fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she also completed a pediatric clinical neurophysiology fellowship. Dr. Shprung's extensive training includes a child neurology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Florida and a pediatric residency at the University of Florida. 

Dr. Shprung's dedication extends beyond clinical practice and includes volunteer work, such as coordinating dance for Parkinson’s Disease classes. Fluent in both English and Hebrew, she resides in Beverly Hills, California, where she continues to contribute to advancements in pediatric neurology.
