Board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Ruchi Turakhia joined Valley Children’s in February 2018 as a pediatric hospitalist.
Prior to Valley Children’s, Dr. Turakhia was a pediatric hospitalist at IPC/TeamHealth. She has also served as the chair of the Pediatric Quality and Safety Council at Cardon Children’s Medical Center.
Dr. Turakhia is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has presented her research at Pediatric Academic Societies’ annual meetings on care in the newborn nursery and the role of diagnostic imaging post urinary tract infection in low birth weight neonates at several Pediatric Academic Societies’ annual meetings.
Dr. Turakhia received her medical degree from Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine in 2012. She did her residency in pediatrics from Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
