Board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Christine Santos joined Valley Children’s as a pediatric hospitalist in July 2015. Her areas of special interest include evidence-based medicine, resident education and advocacy.
Dr. Santos has presented on various topics in her field across the country. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, Society of Hospital Medicine, Gold Humanism Society, and Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of California.
A graduate of Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Vallejo, California, Dr. Santos did her pediatric internship and residency at the University of California, San Francisco—Fresno.
During her residency, Dr. Santos served as a member of the UCSF-Fresno Pediatrics Residency Program Evaluation and Improvement Committee to help enhance program processes and provide resident insight and ideas. She also served as program director for the UCSF-Fresno/Valley Children’s Child Abuse Prevention Symposium. She explored her interest in advocacy by participating in the American Academy of Pediatrics Federal Advocacy Training.
Dr. Santos is skilled in conversational Spanish.
In her free time, Dr. Santos enjoys reading, watching movies, puppy-sitting and the outdoors.
