Volunteer Opportunities

Our goal is to match volunteers with opportunities that serve our patients, families and staff while providing volunteers with a meaningful experience that is consistent with their skills and interests. Our volunteers support the entire organization, serving in a variety of roles, all of which are instrumental in delivering quality care and services to the patients and families that Valley Children’s serves.
The majority of our volunteers work directly with patients, playing games, reading books, delivering crafts, and movies or assisting with arts and crafts at the bedside or in the hospital playrooms. There are also opportunities available as greeters at our security information desks that involve little or no patient care.
In order to provide consistency to our patient families, we require all volunteers to make a six-month commitment to give at least eight hours of time a month on a weekly basis. We offer flexible scheduling and will work with you to determine a schedule that meets your needs as well as ours.
