Support the Guilds
Since 1949, the Guilds have contributed more than $35 million to benefit the healthcare needs of children, including endowments supports programs such as Child Life, Spiritual Care, the Willson Heart Center, and the Guilds Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Center. The Guilds were also honored to raise funds to establish the Guilds Center for Community Health – the first of its kind in the Central Valley to bridge the exceptional care kids receive at Valley Children’s with the health impact children experience where they live, learn and play.
As of January 2025, the Guilds are focusing their fundraising efforts on two transformative endowments totaling $12 million – their biggest combined commitments to date.
Guilds ECMO Endowment: $10 Million
At the forefront of this commitment is the Guilds Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Endowment—a $10 million investment to grow and enhance Valley Children’s ECMO Program, the only one of its kind in the Central Valley. ECMO provides advanced heart and lung support to critically ill infants and children, giving them a chance to heal when conventional treatments are no longer enough. Support of this endowment will allow Valley Children’s to:
- Expand capacity to care for more than two ECMO patients at a time
- Invest in specialized training and advanced simulation technology
- Enhance follow-up care and support for ECMO patients and their families
Valley Children’s ECMO program is one of only 16 centers worldwide to be recognized as a Designated Platinum Center of Excellence by the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO). This prestigious designation reflects the program’s exceptional commitment to evidence-based processes, staff training, patient satisfaction, and clinical care. The Guilds’ investment will expand this world-class care, ensuring that more children have access to lifesaving treatment when they need it most.
Guilds of Valley Children’s Healthcare: $2 Million
Once fully funded, this $2 million endowment will create a grant application process to directly support different areas of Valley Children’s network, empowering staff to:
- Launch new initiatives that benefit children and families
- Enhance existing programs and fulfill immediate needs
- Foster innovation and strengthen care across the Valley Children’s network
This forward-looking approach ensures that the Guilds’ impact adapts alongside the hospital’s evolving priorities, supporting both groundbreaking advancements and the everyday needs of staff, patients, and families.

Shop at local stores, La Tienda Thrift Store and Holiday Boutique because all proceeds are donated to Valley Children’s. Participate in the employee match program where gifts are made by employers to support an employee’s 100% of tax-deductible contribution.
