US News & World Report Best Children's Hospitals 2024-2025 PulmonologyRanked as one of the nation’s best children’s hospitals in Pediatric Pulmonology by U.S. News & World Report, Valley Children’s provides a range of comprehensive medical services for patients with congenital, genetic and acquired lung and respiratory system disorders, from birth to age 21. Our team, the largest of its kind in the Central Valley, includes board-certified pediatric pulmonologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, dietitians, respiratory therapists, social workers and psychologists focused on treating the whole child. Valley Children’s pulmonology experts provide care at our main Hospital campus in Madera and at specialty care locations in Merced and Modesto.

Our team provides excellent and compassionate care along with conducting educational events on asthma and cystic fibrosis, helping patients and families with individualized education plans and resource materials to measure the child’s progress.

Valley Children’s Hospital is a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF)-accredited center affiliated with the CFF Core Center at Stanford Medical Center. Our cystic fibrosis and home ventilator programs are also recognized by the California Children’s Services program.

We are also dedicated to and involved in ongoing research for pulmonary disorders such as cystic fibrosis and asthma, allowing patients to participate in valuable clinical trials and other studies.

He was hospitalized with a lung infection and couldn’t play in his high school’s homecoming football game. But Peyton wanted to cheer on his buddies from the stands.
