Imaging Services

Providing inpatient and outpatient pediatric imaging and radiology services to infants and children, as well as expectant mothers, the pediatric radiologist team at Valley Children’s have advanced training and over 100 years of combined experience. Noninvasive and minimally invasive procedures are used whenever possible. Anesthesia and sedation services are available, when medically appropriate, to provide a more complete and less stressful exam for the patient and family. We are one of the largest pediatric imaging centers in the state, performing about 120,000 exams annually.

Medical imaging is also a key part of Valley Children's Prenatal Diagnostic Center.

Better access to imaging care

Valley Children’s Imaging Department provides a wide array of services and specialties available on-demand and after hours, allowing more access to imaging services. Our team supports all areas of the hospital, including outpatient imaging needs. Our general outpatient imaging services are available after hours for office-based pediatric physicians in Central California. Referring physicians can send patients to Valley Children's with a doctor’s order and have an X-ray taken without going through the Hospital’s Emergency Department. 

Additionally, nearly all imaging services are available 24/7 for emergency care.
