Emergency Medicine Specialties and Services

The team at Valley Children’s Emergency Department works in collaboration with a host of multidisciplinary services to provide you with a highly specialized and seamless care experience. Our team in the ED includes:

• Trauma and critical care services
• Emergency pediatric medicine specialists and nurses
• Orthopaedic and sport-related injury services
• Radiology and medical imaging services available 24/7 for emergency care, including imaging services such as MRI scans and X-rays
• Rapid medical screening and evaluation

We also work closely with multidisciplinary services throughout the hospital, including: 

• Direct access to Valley Children’s pediatric subspecialists either through consultation in the Emergency Department or referrals for follow-up care
• Trauma and surgery services provided for illnesses and injuries requiring surgery and trauma care
• Air and ground medical transport provided for complex critically ill children
