About Me
Triple-boarded in internal medicine, pediatrics and pediatric cardiology, Dr. Paolo Aquino joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group as a pediatric cardiologist in July 2012. His areas of special interest include interventional cardiac catheterization and care of adults with congenital heart disease.
Dr. Aquino, who grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. He finished a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Detroit Medical Center, Wayne State University.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Aquino completed his fellowship in pediatric cardiology and interventional cardiology at Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. He also served as a hospitalist and clinical instructor at Children’s Hospital Michigan.
Dr. Aquino is a member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Medical Association, American College of Cardiology and American College of Physicians.
He enjoys spending time with his wife and son.
