About Me

Board certified in pediatric cardiology and pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Narakesari Heragu joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group in July 2004.

Dr. Heragu is a member of several professional societies, including the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has published his research and work in the American Journal of Cardiology, the Journal of Perinatology, and the Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal.

His professional experience includes having served as a staff pediatrician and pediatric cardiologist in Mansfield and Shreveport, Louisiana.

Dr. Heragu graduated from Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore University in India. He completed pediatric residencies at the Post Graduate Institute (P.G.I.M.E.R.) in Chandigarh, India, and Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He did a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
