About Me

A board-certified maternal-fetal medicine physician with extensive experience in clinical practice, academic appointments, military service, and research publications, Dr. Linda Chan's career spans over three decades, including leadership roles in medical institutions and contributions to medical literature. Dr. Chan joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group in 2018 after her retirement as a Commander serving in the Medical Corps of the United States Navy.

Dr. Chan has held several academic positions, including Clinical Professor at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Associate and Assistant Professor roles at Jefferson Medical College and Temple University, and she was the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program Director at Temple University from 1997-1999. She has served as Chief of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at multiple military medical centers, including Naval Medical Center San Diego, Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune and Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center.

Dr. Chan has 29 peer-reviewed publications focusing on maternal-fetal medicine topics, including fetal development, ultrasound technology, and obstetric management, as well as contributions of 10 chapters to medical textbooks and journals including chapters in Anesthetic and Obstetric Management of High Risk Pregnancy, 1st and 2nd editions, Intensive Care of the Fetus and Neonate, 1st and 2nd editions, Medicine of the Fetus and Mother, and "Diagnosis of Congenital Malformations Using Two-Dimensional and Three-Dimensional Ultrasound" in New Trends & Controversies in Fetal Diagnosis & Therapy, published by OB/GYN Clinics of North America.
