Jose Valencia Torres, MD

Dr. Jose Eduardo Valencia Torres is a Valley Children's Primary Care Group pediatrician practicing at Adventist Healthcare in Reedley.

Born in El Salvador, Dr. Valencia earned his medical degree from the Universidad Dr. José Matías Delgado Escuela de Medicina. He went on to complete his pediatric residency training at BronxCare Health System in the Bronx, New York, affiliated with the Icahn School of Medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, New York.

Dr. Valencia is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Medical Association. He has contributed to academic medicine through research and presentations on topics including pediatric metabolic syndrome, cardiometabolic risk in adolescents, and the correlation between academic performance and clinical skills. He has also volunteered with Medical Brigidas at Vista Hermosa Baptist Church in El Salvador and with Housing Forward, a homeless shelter in Oak Park, Illinois.
