About Me
Board certified in obstetrics gynecology and maternal-fetal medicine, Dr. Jean-Claude Veille joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group as a maternal-fetal specialist at the Maternal Fetal Medicine Center in 2017.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Veille served as the director of maternity services at Sutter Memorial Hospital in Sacramento, California, and as both professor and chairman in obstetrics-gynecology at California Northstate University. Before joining Perinatology Associate of Sacramento, he was Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Albany Medical Center in Albany New York.
Dr. Veille is passionate about sharing research and over the last three decades, has served as a reviewer for various peer-reviewed journals, including the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Obstetrics & Gynecology, popularly known as "The Green Book." He was a previous board examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Maternal-Fetal-Medicine.
After receiving his medical degree from the University de Montpellier School of Medicine in Montpellier, France, Dr. Veille went on to complete his residency at University of Montreal Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Quebec, Canada. Dr. Veille went on to complete a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University.
In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Veille is currently working on launching a travel medical safety website to guide potential world travelers to stay healthy and safe during their travels.
