Jarreau Chen, MD

Board certified in general pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Jarreau Chen joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group as an endocrinologist in July 2019. His clinical and research interests include childhood obesity, diabetes mellitus and nutrition. He is a member of the Pediatric Endocrine Society and the Endocrine Society.

Dr. Chen has done extensive research in obesity, cognition and nutrition in children and has presented his work in national conferences including the Endocrine Society Meeting and Eastern Society for Pediatric Research annual meeting.

After receiving his medical degree and completing his post-graduate internship at the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in the Philippines, Dr. Chen went on to complete his pediatric residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, New York. Dr. Chen completed his fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, where he received the Leo M. Davidoff Society Medical Student Teaching Award in 2019.

Dr. Chen is fluent in English and Tagalog.
