Ester Flores Midence, MD

As part of the hospitalist team providing care at Kaweah Health in Visalia, Dr. Ester Flores-Midence joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group in 2023.

Dr. Flores-Midence is passionate about educating the next generation of healthcare professionals and continuing her own medical training. She has served as a physiopathology and pharmacology instructor at the National University of Honduras as well as an instructor and lecturer at Lincoln Hospital in The Bronx, New York, and Kaweah Health in Visalia. Her desire to continue learning led her to completing a mini-fellowship in patient-centered mental health in pediatric primary care and the American Breastfeeding Medicine’s Leadership Academy, a program designed to provide physicians with additional training and leadership opportunities to advance breastfeeding medicine.

After receiving her Doctor of Medicine and Surgery degree from the National Autonomous University of Honduras, Dr. Flores-Midence went on to Lincoln Medical Center, affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College in The Bronx, New York, where she completed her residency in pediatrics.

Dr. Flores-Midence is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine. She is fluent in Spanish and in her free time, she enjoys real estate investing, traveling and spending time outdoors.
