Deepak Vijayan Nair, MD

Dr. Deepak Vijayan Nair practices as a Valley Children's Primary Care Group pediatrician at Adventist Health, providing primary care to infants, children and adolescents in Reedley and surrounding communities.

After earning his medical degree from SUT Academy of Medical Sciences in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, Dr. Vijayan Nair went on to complete his pediatric residency training at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. During his residency training, he participated in the Healthcare Administration Scholars Program, a longitudinal educational program for pediatric residents that provides exposure to healthcare administration, with the goal of training the next generation of physician leaders. In addition to his training as a physician, Dr. Vijayan Nair is a certified lactation counselor, providing specialized care to nursing mothers and their babies.

Throughout his career, Dr. Vijayan Nair has been committed to physician leadership and community wellness, as evidenced by his work to secure grant funding for NYC Health + Hospitals’ mobile health units and his media appearances as a subject matter expert discussing the importance of vaccines. He has presented his research in poster and oral presentations at a variety of research symposia and industry conferences.
