About Me
In 2024, Dr. Carolyn Ferlic joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group as a pediatric hospitalist.
Dr. Ferlic's research interests include assessing practitioners' awareness of augmented reality heart models and exploring the role of otolaryngologists in preventative health. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association and the Society of Women Engineers. She also delivered numerous scholarly presentations on topics such as concussion management, pediatric head imaging and chronic cough.
Dr. Ferlic earned her medical doctorate from Tulane University School of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Virginia. She completed her general pediatrics residency at Loma Linda Children's Hospital, where she gained experience in managing critically ill patients, coordinating patient transfers and improving patient satisfaction through quality improvement initiatives. Her engineering background includes project management, technical report preparation and aiding the Environmental Protective Agency Office of Superfund Remediation and Technology Innovation.
