Why did you choose Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency?
I was born in SoCal and grew up in NorCal. It is my desire to contribute to my home state. I loved Valley Children’s Healthcare when I visited the campus and met the staff online during the interview. I was drawn to the Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency Program because it has a stand-alone children’s hospital that is solely dedicated to pediatrics and offers impressive, comprehensive healthcare services. Indeed, it is a “hidden gem” and a showcase bridging SoCal and NorCal. I appreciate the family vibe, the supportive and thriving environment, and the care for the well-being of their residents. The COMPACT program further enables me to broaden my horizons through community involvement and advocacy to become a well-rounded, compassionate pediatrician!

Hobbies:
I relish Face Timing with my toddler nieces and nephews and enjoy spending time with my close-knit family. I appreciate learning new languages and diverse cultures, especially ethnic cuisine. I enjoy walking, traveling, and exploring restaurants and coffee shops.

Advocacy and Research Interests and Accomplishments:
One of my passions is connecting with children and helping them develop positive character and healthy attitudes. I had the awesome privilege of being part of the St. George’s University Christian Student Association (CSA) Kids, where I served as a volunteer Sunday school teacher during medical school. I also devoted my energy and time to a medical service trip to rural villages of South India, where I was quickly reminded of the absence of healthcare and its impact on their lives. I support everyone deserving access to affordable and quality healthcare. I encourage fostering a safe and healthy environment for developing and raising children grounded in loving parent-child relationships.

Care Philosophy:
I believe every child has a unique biological clock, character traits, and gifts. I cater individualized healthcare tailored to meet each child’s needs. My goals as a physician are to exercise evidence- based medicine in treatment, champion preventive care, and advocate a healthy lifestyle and choice, resulting in a thriving life where the sky is the limit. I value communication and active listening, so vital in building trust, which will lead to strong doctor-patient rapport to find solution-driven diagnoses and therapeutics. My commitment is to emphasize patient-centered care, where teamwork is essential between physician, patient, and guardian!
