Why did you choose Valley Children's Pediatric Residency Program?
First and foremost, I want to be a good overall pediatrician, and to do that I wanted to serve a large and diverse population. I also have known for a long time that I want to be a pediatrician, and children’s hospitals offer an opportunity to work with the people and professionals I most relate with. Finally, my home is California. Put it all together, and Valley Children’s Hospital was perfect for me, and my partner can work nearby at UCSF Fresno.
Hobbies: Biking, hiking, cooking, board games, and video games.
Advocacy and Research Interests and Accomplishments: I volunteered at Imani Clinic, a UC Davis Student-Run Clinic designed to serve the underserved population of Sacramento’s Oak Park where I was one of the pediatric clinic coordinators helping advocate for pediatric patients in my community. For research, I made a poster about outcomes of non-obstructive myocardial infarction, which I presented at a UC Davis research presentation day under the guidance of cardiologist Dr. Ezra Amsterdam.
