About Me
Michael Danovsky, PhD, earned his doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Kansas in Lawrence. He completed an internship in pediatric psychology at Brown University School of Medicine and a two-year fellowship in pediatric psychology at Rhode Island Hospital both in Providence, Rhode Island.
In addition to his duties as manager of Pediatric Psychology Services, Dr. Danovsky is the Chief, Psychology (Valley Children’s Healthcare Pediatric Residency Program) and Clinical Assistant Professor (Affiliated), Stanford University School of Medicine (Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences).
Dr. Danovsky serves on several hospital committees including the Schwartz Center Rounds, Cultural and Linguistic Diversity Committee, Credentials/Bylaws Committee, and the Ethics Committee. In addition, he serves on committees in the community, including the Fresno County Suicide Prevention Collaborative (Healthcare Chair) and the Clovis Unified Wellness Committee. His collaborative work has been featured in several publications including the Journal of Pediatric Psychology, Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and the American Journal of Orthopsychiatry.
His current clinical work focuses on children/teens with kidney disease (dialysis and transplant) and children with elimination disorders, as well as working with children with a variety of other medical problems who have co-existing psychological concerns.
