About Me
Dr. Jon Oda joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group as an orthopaedic surgeon in September 2009 after completing a second pediatric orthopaedic surgery fellowship focused on spinal deformity, neuromuscular conditions and genetic syndromes at Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Del. Prior to furthering his medical training, Dr. Oda practiced for several years at Mid–County Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine in St. Louis, Mo. He is board certified in orthopaedic surgery.
After earning a medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Dr. Oda completed a general surgery internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at Barnes–Jewish Hospital/Washington University School of Medicine. He completed a pediatric orthopaedic surgery fellowship at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
Dr. Oda enjoys alpine skiing and snowboarding, scuba diving, bodysurfing, and traveling. He is a blue belt in Tae Kwon Do. He speaks some Japanese.
