Why did you choose Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency?
I chose Valley Children’s for the culture. From interacting with faculty, residents, and all the other allied health professionals in between, I found that Valley Children's fosters a caring and familial environment which helps in providing the best possible care for its patients. It is exactly the type of place I have always hoped to work in.
Hobbies:
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, hiking, gardening, photography, and going to the movies. I am also an avid sports fan. (Go Knicks, Yankees and Raiders!)
Advocacy and Research Interests and Accomplishments:
I hope to be involved in educational opportunities for children. Many of my roles prior to medicine dealt with working with children in an educational setting. During medical school, I helped organize public health initiatives geared for the pediatric population centered around rabies, dengue fever, dental hygiene, and more. I plan to continue this as a resident.
Care Philosophy:
I believe that healthcare is a collaborative effort between physicians, patients and their families. If all parties are empowered and passionate about a common goal, then the best possible outcomes can be attained.
