Why did you choose Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency?
I knew when ranking my residency programs that I valued location, a collaborative culture and a diverse patient population more than any other traits. Location: Fresno is situated close to incredible nature, big cities and itself boasts a growing, bustling town. Culture: The month I was here on my sub-internship, I felt an incredible bond between the faculty, administrative staff and most of all, the residents. Finally, there is no patient demographic anywhere like the Central California: working here, I know that I wouldn't just get a good training but an excellent, comprehensive one.
Hobbies:
Basketball, Football, Chess, Poetry, Hiking, Painting, Social Activism.
Advocacy and Research Interests and Accomplishments:
I wish to continue my advocacy for the rights, equalities and fair treatment of all peoples, especially children with disabilities. I also want to focus my efforts on closing disparities and access to care in underserved communities.
Care Philosophy:
Healthcare is a team game and the patient is always the most important player of that team. Therefore, it becomes the utmost important role of the physician to facilitate a collaborative environment between ancillary staff, other healthcare professionals, parents and my patients all the while focusing on the tenets of do no harm, ensuring autonomy and justice to my kiddos.
