Komal Marwaha, MD
Why did you choose Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency?
I would like to be a leader in the community who advocates for the pediatric population while caring for patients holistically and with empathy.
Hobbies:
Baking, dancing, reading, spending time with my pup, exploring new restaurants, and traveling
Advocacy and Research Interests and Accomplishments:
Over the past year, I volunteered at a nonprofit in the Bay Area called My Good Brain, where we taught children and young adults about mental health topics through art. My most recent research experience involved a sub-analysis that looked into the association of age and severity of traumatic brain injury in children under five years old to determine age-specific risk factors.
Care Philosophy:
I believe in approaching children and families with empathy, trust, and respect for their unique experiences. My goal is to provide holistic, evidence-based care that supports both physical and emotional well-being. Through creativity, advocacy, and connection, I strive to be a steady and compassionate presence in each child's journey.
