Why did you choose Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency?
I was initially drawn to Valley Children’s Residency Program because of its strong commitment to caring for a diverse and underserved population. I was looking for a program that would provide extensive clinical exposure in a high-acuity setting, and Valley Children’s offered exactly that. The warm, welcoming environment only further confirmed that this was the right place for my training.
Hobbies:
In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, hiking, playing pickleball, doing puzzles, and hanging out with my dogs and cats.
Advocacy and Research Interests and Accomplishments:
I’m passionate about volunteering and always seek meaningful ways to stay engaged in the community—whether through hospital volunteer work, involvement with the Red Cross, or supporting children with disabilities. One of the most impactful experiences was participating in a global health trip to Peru, where I worked with children and families from low-income communities to help improve both their health and health education.
Care Philosophy:
I am driven by the belief that healthcare should not be a reactive process but a proactive one. By focusing on prevention and education, I want to help empower patients and families to take control of their health, reducing the burden of illness on both individuals and the healthcare system as a whole.
