Dr. Bansri Patel

Why did you choose Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency?
I had the opportunity to rotate here as a medical student and was immediately struck by the strong sense of community, collaborative spirit, and unwavering dedication to serving a diverse and underserved pediatric population. As a California native, it was especially meaningful to train in a place so committed to caring for the children and families of my home state. I felt not only supported as a learner but truly valued as part of the team. Valley Children’s commitment to advocacy, education, and compassionate care perfectly aligns with my values, making it the ideal environment to grow into the pediatrician I aspire to become.

Hobbies:
Pickleball, cooking, reading, finding new coffee shops and hiking!

Advocacy and Research Interests and Accomplishments:
My previous advocacy efforts include supporting children affected by domestic violence through organizing therapeutic and educational activities such as mindfulness exercises, art sessions, and after-school programming designed to foster emotional well-being and resilience. My past research focused on evaluating effective pain control methods during IUD insertions and improving health literacy related to pediatric asthma management

Care Philosophy:
I aspire to be a pediatrician who teaches and advocates for children and adolescents throughout their development, equipping them with the tools to become the best versions of themselves as they transition into adulthood.
